Happy Father's Day!

As you know, lucky Grover was adopted by a wonderful family!  Here is their story:

In November 2016, after much preparation and anticipation, we were able to pick up Grover, our third GPRS rescue, from Oregon.  It was a happy and sad day.  Happy for us to add to our crew, but we knew that Merissa and Richard would miss this little guy.  Grover was on his way to becoming a Canadian!

Before making our trip back to Canada, we had to visit a couple of other GPRS mentors.  First stop was to visit Aunt Jackie Titus.  Met with her and Jeffrey and their wonderful pack for a short 
visit.  Then back on the road.  Next stop was a meet and greet with Rena Bouchard and her boy Beau.  Allison Manz also stopped by with Zola and the doggy games began!  Grover is a good traveler and slept most of the way home.  The border crossing was uneventful; cuteness has its advantages, they didn't even ask for his paperwork!

Grover got to spend the first night familiarizing himself in his new home without his new sisters, as they were at the boarding kennel and would be picked up the next day.  Then, at the park across the street from home, he finally met the rest of his new family, Cassie (5 1/2 year old Maremma rescue) and Violet (almost 3 years old a Pyr from GPRS).  Cassie is a snit to other dogs and shy/anxious around people.  She checked him out then just wanted to go home.  He quickly learned, virtually every spot in the house was open to the puppies.  Best couch spots, comfy leather seats, and carpets to mark.

Grover is quite timid but is also a lightening fast runner, spunky, sassy, happy and entertaining-that best describes this bundle of energy.  From 3 pounds when we first met him to today, 85 pounds of pure love.  He goes to work with his daddy every day and checks out all visitors to the office!
