When Juliette emailed to ask if I would help with the rescue's blog I was ecstatic! After becoming a foster failure in a roundabout way I was one over in numbers on my permanent dogs and suddenly up to three. I would not be fostering for a while so I jumped at the opportunity to participate in this endeavor.
The purpose of this blog is to share the rescue's news and events in addition to connect like-minded people by sharing the stories that capture our attention, break our hearts, and feed our souls. For me, while volunteering for rescues there cannot be one of these without the other.
Please check back often to read about our amazing volunteers, featured rescue stories, health and wellness tips, training information, and many more subjects! Feel free to comment and make suggestions. And by all means, enjoy all the pretty dog pictures!

Yesterday was a very exciting day for Vida and Vail, our 2 puppies with Neosporosis! They went to Texas A&M Small Animal Clinic to see several specialists about their condition - they saw internal specialists and orthopedic specialists - they really enjoyed all of the attention. The amazing staff had a very warm welcome waiting for these cuties when we got here! Man have they grown, they barely fit in their own stroller anymore!
We are so thankful for everyone who has donated to these girls care, but we still have a long way to go! Check out their website for more updates on their condition, and please SHARE SHARE SHARE their story!!! https://www.youcaring.com/vidaandvail

Love Letters from a Pyr Parent
Jaeger
"Craig and I are so blessed to have Jaeger. He has brought a lot of joy and love into our life. Craig takes him to work on occasion and he is the hit of the office. The other days he has fun at doggy day care where he has two girlfriends. Emma, a Bernese Mountain Dog and Clara, a Rottweiler. His fur is fully grown in and his mane is incredible. He gets a brushing a couple days a week which he loves. He is starting to shed. When Jaeger gets excited he hops like a frog 1 foot off the ground. Jaeger is such a good boy and we are glad we have him."

These two precious puppies are Vida and Vail – and they are 10 week old pure females that are fighting a tough battle and need your help! Vida and Vail have been diagnosed with
Neosporosis http://www.petmd.com/…/infectious-parasitic/c_dg_neosporosis and while this parasitic disease is rare, it isn’t a death sentence with proper medical treatment and rehabilitation. Both of these cuties are strong and happy – and they are not giving up! They have already started treatment and have had one week of rehabilitation – with GREAT results! Vail is using one leg almost normally, and Vida has attempted to walk for the very first time, as both of her back legs are paralyzed – so we are excited for their future.
